BE THE SPARK THAT IGNITES… A YOUTH’s FUTURE !

Every year, there’s one night in Scottsdale that is more than just an event—it’s a movement. A celebration of hope, opportunity, and the unwavering belief that every child, no matter their background, deserves the chance to succeed.

That night is the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale’s (BGCS) Annual Gala, a powerful gathering of hearts and minds coming together to light the path for our youth. Each year, the organization expands its reach, serving more children and teens with vital programs that open doors and change lives.

This is more than just an evening of elegance; it’s a night of purpose.

Why This Matters

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale serves thousands of youth across nine locations, reaching communities in; Scottsdale, North Phoenix, Fountain Hills, Mesa, the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community, and the Hualapai Nation. These aren’t just after-school programs—these are lifelines.

📌 Did you know? Studies show that BGCS members are more likely to explore STEM careers, volunteer in their communities, and engage in physical activity than their peers. But beyond the statistics, these clubs offer something even more profound: a safe space, a mentor who believes in them, and the confidence to dream bigger than they ever thought possible.

I’ve always been drawn to organizations that do the work, that don’t just talk about change but create it. And BGCS embodies that mission every single day. No matter the obstacles a child may face, this organization meets them where they are and walks with them toward success. Through mentorship, education, creativity, and leadership opportunities, BGCS proves that every child has what it takes to succeed— all they need is the right support system.

A Personal Connection

This year, I am beyond proud to be part of the gala committee, working alongside my dear friend Beth McRae from McRae Agency, who is co-chairing this event. If you know Beth, you know that giving back is in her DNA. Her dedication to philanthropy is a guiding light for so many, and her work on this gala is nothing short of extraordinary. I have had the privilege of working with her on many community efforts, and time after time, I am inspired by her generosity and commitment to making a difference.

Joining her as co-chair is philanthropist Andrea Robertson, an Executive Committee Member on the BGCS Board of Governors and the founder of Lexie’s Voice Foundation. Andrea has been leading this charge for three years, and her passion for serving youth is undeniable. Together, Beth and Andrea are a powerhouse duo who will ensure this year’s gala is not only successful but impactful beyond measure.

The Night That Changes Lives

This year’s gala theme, Lighting the Path to Great Futures,” could not be more fitting. It symbolizes the collective power we have to illuminate the way for the next generation, to ensure that no child walks their journey alone.

The funds raised will directly impact the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Scottsdale, helping to sustain and expand life-changing programs. From academic support and leadership development to sports, arts, and career readiness—every dollar raised turns into an opportunity for a child.
