Well, as it happens in all families, the ones that last ask you for “professional” advice are those within your household or the ones living under the same roof.
Few years back, I styled and shoot my husband’s public image in our own backyard with the idea of a modern executive with great style, with his sleeves rolled up, new glasses and an open to talk look, I gave him options of a white shirt, a black shirt, and took a gamble and even used a soft blue with light tattersall .

Usually, executives at his level, that have to write, make public appearances on workshops, be part of executive panels an others, require a headshot that is usually a standard look.
Tired of seen the same picture of the blue suit with white/powder blue shirt and blue/red solid tie with arms crossed, with books as background, or a city skyline, I decided to create a modern image, with lots of style and one that was true to who he is and his very “Armani” style.
When I use the term Armani is to convey the idea of his love to monochrome garmenting in dark colors, lack of loud print or loud contrast, more a sophisticated Manhattan or Soho -London- taste where the fabric and it’s attributes plus a silhouette create that strong vision of a solid structural look. His love to brown, black, crisp white and deep blue had to be part of it all.
So, after we talked about the look, the style and when was the best time to do the photoshoot, we agreed that this would be my birthday present for him, so, I enlisted a photographer whose aesthetics were to match the intention behind the shoot. A stylish modern executive, . Mr. Jim Hesterman (who I’ve worked with before to create my Tucson Fashion Week image) was the perfect fit.

I was able to direct and create what to me was the image of the executive of today, and I know is not the first one to opt for this type of image or look, but trust me, for him was a great start. This new image will last few years, or until he decides is time to create a new look or a new look is needed for his multiple professional appearances.
