Yup, I do.
And by “Oscar Vogues” (the title of this blog post) I am not referring by any means to the VOGUE walk or VOGUEING at all (trust me, I could break my neck!)

Other takes of this very hot afternoon that did not made the magazine are here (trust me it was 115 degrees).
But the fact of the matter is that one of the pictures of the MAN & ARCHITECTURE series collaborative with my talented photographer friend Chris Loomis is been published by the prestigious magazine (on line version and Italy version). A true honor and a recognition of hard work.
We have scouted the locations, primarily driving around and looking for locations, but we also used the most accurate guide you can have to spot the modern buildings in town. A web site called Modern Phoenix that is been (for years now) curated by the talent Professor Allison King.
Well, created a streamline and idea of how the modern man lived and how the places and spaces inhabited in Phoenix had a moment in time and a very particular look, one is true to the time. The idea behind of all this, is to simply show the “belleza” of the modern architecture structures of the city with a subject immerse in the space, giving the entire structure a scale. The introduction of the fashion element was one we discussed for a while, as you will see within the series intense “to-the-time” looks or simply “inspired” looks of the time.
Chris and myself have worked on several projects and one that brought us together, was the one choreographed beautifully by the late Janis Leonard called “Art & Space” that is logged on my blog as “Independently Artistic“.
Some of the takes based on this collaboration are here;
These are from one of the most iconic buildings in town, The Phoenix Financial Building (the punch card building) where we decided to capture images and device the time of the office man of the time;

The second structure we had in mind was the one that made the VOGUE ITALIA publication.
We envisioned a clerical worker of the time, with garments of the era and even the attitude of it all.
This series will have a second and a third and a forth chapters,
